This "nice" picture shows the star of the Speech Apparatus: The Vocal Folds. 

The schematic pictures we use in class help us to discover the importance of these organs in the production of differences in sound quality.

Men have skilfully learnt how to manipulate this elastic tissue to convey messages and acquire the magnificent possibility of communication.
